October 2, 2005 I was a Twinkie away from the three uh oh (300) pounds, I couldn't run a lap around the LVAC track (300M), could do two pull ups, 4 dips and seven push ups. Now, as of March 29, 2007, I am 265, I run a lap in 60 seconds, can do three sets of 12 pull ups, three sets of 20 dips and three sets of 20 push ups with my hands on an inverted bosu and my feet on a ball. Since December I've run two 5k's and an 8k with my eyes set on the prize to participate in the LV Triathlon September 30, 2007.
I owe this new attitude about my physical fitness to Ashley "Ash Kicker" Onstott. She is the Mother Theresa of Fitness Trainers, traversing a fine line between pushing your limits and gently cajoling to help you help yourself get fit. She starts you out with routines that fit your fitness profile (though you beg to differ and for more oxygen) and when you think you're getting better and stronger, she subtlety implements new facets to your existing regimen; a new twist here and new movement there. She designs fitness sessions that always keeps your efforts intense; ever pursuing an elevated level of overall cardio, strength, and flexibility fitness. She is my caffeine. Without her I am a fish out of water. I need my Ash Kicking! Michael A Williams, Senior Recruiter, CDO, Talent Acquisition and Management
Ashley gives an AWESOME Pilates mat class. What a workout! She efficiently gets the entire class moving while making room for individual attention. Her class is challenging, smart and fun! Full of positive energy, Ashley guides you to a deeper connection to your core and you emerge from her class stronger and feeling empowered. -Annie Brenemen, Ballet West Dancer
I had the privilege of working with Ashley Onstott on an individual basis twice a week for a year and a half. During that time, she helped me transform my body from a middle-aged neglected wreck into a fit person. I shed a great deal of weight, my osteopenia decreased in a medically verified manner, my posture improved enormously, and, as research has indicated for many women who lift weights, my sense of my own power, both physically and emotionally increased. I am indebted to her for transforming my life, and body, and recommend her without reservation to anyone considering working with her. - Lois Nachamie, LMSW
After years of struggling with my weight I decided to hire a trainer. I went to my gym and said that this person had to be understanding, kind, and have a positive attitude to help keep me motivated. Not one of those Thimblelinas with air for brains and plastic for boobs who would make me feel inferior just by breathing. I was referred to Ashley Onstott. With her guidance and persistent attention I have lost 80+ pounds. I could never have done it without her. She is my iron fist in a velvet glove. She believed in me so I could believe in myself. She truly saved my life but more importantly she became a dear and trusted friend. – Brandy Rowell
Ashley is the perfect combination of knowledge and charisma!! She trained me during my pregnancy and had a wealth of information and was extremely motivating. I truly looked forward to Monday afternoon workouts with her (and by the way...I only pushed for 20 minutes when I delivered my son and I believe a lot has to do with the preparation). - Dr. Karen Conn
Ashley Onstott really made a difference in my appearance, self confidence and overall well being. She is a professional that understands the importance in making her clients feel comfortable and respecting their physical limitations. She does all this while pushing them to be the best they can be. I really valued her knowledge of bio-mechanics because I knew she would never put undue stress on my body. Still, she never let me wimp out because of my perceived limitations. With a combination of training w/ Ashley and better food choices, I lost 18 pounds and never felt better. I know Ashley can do the same for others! I wish she was still here to help keep me going! – Jessica Sherman
Ashley is a perfect combination of the motivation, discipline, consistency and sensitivity I needed. Thanks to her, I am stronger, better balanced, and better poised. I owe it to Ashley in becoming leaner, taller, and stronger. – Ashley Mui
I trained with Ashley at New York Sports Clubs for over two years, something I looked forward to every week on many levels. Always the consummate professional, Ashley was never without a smile and a very organized plan of action. She was consistently responsive to my needs and adapted the workouts regularly to keep me challenged and motivated. Anyone lucky enough to train with Ashley will no doubt reap many benefits from her warmth, knowledge, and passion for helping people reach their fitness goals. -Susan Zanger
It is with great pleasure that I recommend Ashley Onstott as a personal trainer. Ashley's knowledge and expertise in dance and Pilates not only allowed her to help me lose weight but also tone and build muscle. She made me realize that I was stronger than I imagined and she showed me work-outs that motivated me to train on my own. She is very professional and respectful of my time and she was also flexible with scheduling training appointments. I wish Ashley all the best in her future endeavors and she is sorely missed in NYC. - Leigh Gore
Ashley was my trainer for a good part of 2005. I saw my body become leaner, and my endurance improve. Ashley works in a way that is always very challenging, and thoughtful. New York's loss is Las Vegas' gain. We miss her! - Cherry Reins, Personal trainer @ New York Spots Clubs.
I had a fabulous training experience with Ashley [Onstott]. I loved that she came to my house and that the only equipment required for our workouts were a floor mat and bands (and that she provided them). I noticed results immediately after starting my workouts. I felt stronger, had more energy and was able to fit into most of my pre-pregnancy clothes pretty soon thereafter. - Stefanie Lally-Ardrey, Esq.
I love Ashley's multi-purpose exercises that work several muscle groups at the same time; it is so much more efficient than 'traditional’ work outs that focus on one muscle/group at a time..... she uses devices (swiss balls, bosu.....) that easily can be stored and used at home to keep it up. Ashley has proven / showed us that even 30 minutes three times a week makes a world of difference. Ashley also understands traits like pregnancy and sports injuries so we feel in safe hands almost no matter our condition. – Josh Firebaugh and Karin Hammar
